National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach
What is Health & Wellness Coaching?
Health and wellness coaching establishes a relationship between a client and a coach with the objective to help the client reach their stated health and wellness goals.
Unlike an "expert", who advises and tells the client what to do, the coach helps the client discover what is the next best step to help them move forward toward better health.
We each have unique situations in our work, our families and in our health history. The client knows best what is realistic and what action steps are possible. The coach assists in helping the client sort through the maze and create an action plan.
Behavioral change starts and results begin to happen. As you gain traction, momentum occurs and you become unstoppable!
Health coaching puts you in the place of greatest potential by bridging the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
Health & Wellness Sessions
Discovery sessions are 15 to 20 minutes and available to you at no cost. This is a great opportunity for you to explore if health & wellness coaching is a good fit.
Health & Wellness Coaching Session
Health & Wellness Coaching sessions are 60 minutes. The first session is approximately 75 minutes to establish agreements and set up payment.
Studies have shown that virtual coaching, including phone only, is just as effective as face to face. There are less distractions for the client and coach, helping the engagement process. More time is afforded for other priorities as there is no commute time to an office and back.
The client is in their own safe and comfortable space.
It is important to establish a vision for health and the values that give it strength. We all know what are supposed to do, but we don’t do it. Health coaching helps you line up your vision with your core values which then gives you leverage to move forward, gain momentum and reach your goals.
What Makes Redick Health & Wellness Different?
As a graduate of the Integrative Health Coach Professional Training Program at Duke Integrative Medicine Center, I use the Duke Integrative Health Coaching model. We start with the Wheel of Health. This tool helps us focus and determine where we feel strong and connected and areas in our lives that feel imbalanced.
We also identify areas in our lives where we find joy and purpose, to help leverage our successes. We learn that Self-Care is an important first step in reaching our goals. Mindfulness is at the center of the wheel because it helps us increase self awareness and pay attention on purpose.
When we become more present and mindful, we can reduce stress and learn to trust the process in our journey back to health and well being.
