Jeanie loves writing, cycling, yoga, painting, kayaking, hiking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Jeanie’s passion for health coaching came after having a successful practice as a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist in Roanoke, Virginia from 1999 - 2017. She realized her greatest passion was not just helping people learn to love healthy food and realize the healing power of whole foods, but the change process. In 2010 - 2011 she went through the Duke Integrative Medicine Integrative Health Coach Professional Training Program and became certified as an Integrative Health Coach.
In 2017 Jeanie became a National Board Certified Health and Wellness coach. In 2019 she joined the PIRE faculty team of health and wellness coaches to teach, train and mentor clinicians at the Veteran Hospitals around the country to become whole health coaches. This work adds value to the health of the whole person and increases patient centered care to our Veterans. She is honored to be part of a group of amazing people who share her passion and commitment to help people embrace their true self and enjoy their life with improved health and wellness.
She met her husband, Ken, in college in the art studio. Her first passion was pottery and the transformation of the clay to a beautiful earthen vessel. She changed her medium to earth vessels first as a holistic nutritionist with a private practice in Roanoke, Virginia for 17 years and now as a health and wellness coach in Raleigh, North Carolina.
She and Ken have embraced organic gardening, vegetarian eating and a whole foods lifestyle for four decades. As a mother of five healthy student athletes who all played Division I college sports, good nutrition and discovering your passion have always been her north star.
